How I work
Every asset has value for someone: a nature experience, a local story, even a leftover industrial material. My work is to find that someone and build the connection. I start by listening and mapping what you have, who is involved and where the value lies. Sometimes the answer is something entirely new; sometimes the simplest one works best. Then I help steer the whole ecosystem towards a result that lasts, for your business, for nature and for people.

I live and work in Äkäslompolo, in the Ylläs fells of Finnish Lapland. For more than a decade I've been turning northern nature into business, for companies, municipalities and associations, at home and abroad.
My work has left marks you can visit. As project manager I built Fishing Lapland, the brand and network that unites fishing tourism across Lapland. As executive director of the Ylläs Tourism Association I developed the area's trail network and led it through the Covid-19 crisis. In the Teno Valley I've helped turn the invasive pink salmon from a threat into a regenerative fishing experience.
I know the field from every side. I've run my own nature-based companies, designed and sold fly fishing gear on international markets, and worked in front of and behind the camera for the Arctic Waters TV series. As chairman of the Tornio-Muonio fishery area, I also know how landowners, authorities and businesses think, and how to bring them to the same table.
Business studies, physiotherapy and ongoing MBA studies in innovation have taught me to see both the numbers and the people. Whatever the case, I start by listening.
PROJECTS
Fishing experience that invites you to combine guided fishing of Pink Salmon under the MidNight Sun of Utsjoki region, into program where your catch plays a vital role of returning red fleshed salmonoid fish into the diet of local elder people. Teno Pink is an example of the new Regenerative Era of Fishing Tourism.
Connected the fishing outfitters of Finnish Lapland together for more responsible fishing experiences and for advocacy of fishing tourism Nationally.
Tourism destination in the heart of Fell Lapland and its nature was without organized and guided tour services outside of winter season. We created from passion to outdoors. As a former founding member, I'm delighted to follow the journey of Ylläs Experiences, an outdoor company productizing the normal things we do up here in the North.
